Many thanks to our partner FAI Farm, which did a benchmark of the revised version of the Evaluation Requirements of Cage Free Egg Production (T/CCFAGS 025-2023, referring to CCFA standard) with 14 of the most popular international standards for laying hen welfare (e.g. American Humane Certified, Animal Welfare Approved, Better Leven, Canadian Organic, HFAC, KAT, RSPCA, United Egg Producers, USDA Organic). The benchmark found that 89% of requirements within key pillars (Antibiotic Stewardship, Audit Requirements, Environmental Management, Health, Monitoring, Space and Equipment, and Working Conditions) exhibit the CCFA standard that is equivalent or superior to the main global standards. In some cases (11%), other standards have higher coverage than the CCFA Standard. Some indicators (23%) relating to pillars, such as Environmental Management and Working Conditions, are not covered in both CCFA and the benchmarked standards. 

CCFA standard will continue to make revisions in the following years and will pay attention to the criteria that are inferior to the main global standards.
