Senior Farm Animal Welfare Scientist
Ph.D. in Bioscience Engineering
Dr. Congcong mainly responsible for international cooperation projects on animal welfare, technical review of animal welfare projects, animal welfare training, etc. Graduated from KU Leuven in Belgium (Ph.D.), and conducted postdoctoral research on animal welfare at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and New York University (Shanghai). With over 10 years of experience in research and practice in farm animal behavior and welfare, particularly in broiler breeders, laying hens, broilers, dairy cows, and pigs.
• Led multiple international brand-related animal welfare projects, such as IKEA, Coca-Cola, etc.
• Editor-in-Chief of "2022 China Cage-free Egg Industry Report"
• Led the update of group standard "Evaluation Requirements of Cage-free Egg Production"
• Lead the coordination and execution of the Welfare Egg Advancing Working Group
• Outstanding fellow of the International Farm Animal Welfare Fellowship (IFAWF) program.
