Hong has over 26 years of professional experience. He held the position of Executive Director at KWS China and also served as Regional Director for Heifer Project International. Additionally, he worked as a Program Officer for the World Bank Loaned Small Household Cattle Development Program in the Anhui Provincial Department of Agriculture.
Hong was involved in various programs for companies such as Coca Cola, Cargill, and local food companies. Notably, he played a role in compiling China's first regenerative agriculture standard. Currently, Hong is working on developing a GHG assessment system for crop farms. This project aims to provide growers and suppliers with a measurable tool that offers data traceability.
Hong graduated from DaLum Agricultural University in Denmark with a major in Integrated Farm Management and Balanced Agriculture Production.
